Topic tags/keywords: baltic birch houston where to buy

Hi everyone. I’ve lurked on the site off and on for a while and as many have I’m sure, I decided to create an account since I had a question you all are sure to help me with. I’m in College Station, TX and I’m lost as to where I can find Baltic Birch plywood in my area. Houston is the closest area to me that is sure to have some. Any folks out there have a business they use regularly to get this stuff? I’d rather buy it in the 5’x5’ sheets as opposed to the small overpriced pieces at Woodcraft and Rockler. And I’ll apologize now if I’ve asked this question in the wrong forum or if it’s been beat to death. Thanks yall.

You might ask your local lumber supplier to order it for you. I have even gotten it ordered at Home Depot.

Look for a hardwood plywood supplier to cabinet shops in your
area. Or just find a cabinet shop/maker and ask where he gets his
materials.

Any good lumber yard should be able to order some for you, just because they don’t have it doesn’t mean they can’t get it. Be sure to inquire about minimum order quantities if it’s something they don’t want warehouse for an indefinite period of time.

I’ve discovered that at most lumber yards, just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean they don’t have it.
Most people who go to lumber yards are into constructing something and not as interested in quality wood like we are….................

Most McCoy’s building material stores in Texas have 5’x5’x1/2” sheets for $27.00 per sheet and the quality is good. Call and check availability.
