Hey I bought this on eBay for about $50 and it was listed as NOS and as you can see if I got the pics right, it says made in England. Can anyone help me date it? Has the spur nicker also if that helps. Looks like it’s never been touched or used. I’m hoping it’s not a new one, are those made in England? Don’t think so but any help is appreciated.

I started looking around, this is a new one isn’t it? That’ll learn me to do more homework. Can anyone verify this?

Looks just like the Wards Master Quality #78 (Stanley) I bought a while back…..for $16+ shipping. I think mine might be a little older, though.

The pattern on the handle and the level adjustment on the iron are dead give aways it’s a newer tool. I’m not sure how new but according to this site it’s after 1925.

That doesn’t mean it’s a bad tool and it might preform it’s job very well it’s just not really old. I have one with the floral vines on the handle and it’s a great tool.

Have your say...
