Not sure if anyone has seen this in the news. Man builds furniture for military families in need gets shut down by his homeowners association. Click here to read further.

Has anyone ever had a similar issue?

What a bunch of small minded bureaucrats. Yet another reason to not reside in a community with an HOA.
I hope he wins his appeal.

Home owner Associations should be outlawed, They strip you of your property rights. You should only be held to the covenants in your deed. What you agreed to when you purchased the house. If they want to change the rules they should be required to purchase your property.
