Now, that’s cool….pun intended.
Thanks, Larry.

Thanks Gene. I thought it would be great for spot cooling in a large shop like mine that has no cooling or in a small shed or small garage. There is no way I could afford to put in a ceiling, add insulation and then a heat pump or other A/C unit. I plan to start shopping for the needed materials as $$ allows. ;-)

Yep… “Redneck air conditioning” or “Swamp Cooler” .... whichever you want to call it … they WORK!

I remember back in the “good old days” my dad hanging a couple of canvas and burlap water bags filled with water on the front of the car to help cool the radiator and preventing vapor lock when we went on trips through the desert. They looked stupid but the got the job done.

hmm… two points. One… to make the gallon of ice you needed to put it into the freezer. The freezer took enough heat out of the water to get it to freeze and put it into the room.

Another… A $99 AC from Walmart cranked up will cool a 20×20 shop enough to feel comfortable to work. Or a bigger one from Craigslist.

Beyond that. Nicely made video and neat idea.
