$55 shipped I purchased this stone thinking it was hard select. It is not. I purchased a Dan’s Washita at the same time. Turns out that this stone is just about identical. It cuts the same, looks the same, and even has the same specific gravity (2.04 FWIW). For all intents and purposes it is a very good starting grit Arkansas honing stone. I just don’t need 2 identical stones. I purchased the stone new, still in plastic wrap, and have used it only enough to evaluate it. It does have a small chip (pictured), but it does not effect function of the stone. http://picasaweb.google.com/anon102/20090129BenchStones#5296725688348312434 -- Doug, woodworking in Alabama |
