I frequently snort to myself when I read Craigslist posts or posts on woodworking forums that contain references to thickness planners or refer to hand planning. Then today my wife asked why I described using a plane as planning in a blog post. Must have been auto-correct, and that may be a big reason other folks make the same mistake.

I’ll try to snort a little more softly to myself in the future.
