Hey all,

I am looking at making some tools and there are several people here who excel at it. What is a good resource I could turn to for finding good info? I have many FWW articles and shopnotes articles that show how to make some things. I am looking at buying the book: “Making Wood tools” by John Wilson. I looked in the reviews and didn’t see that anyone had put up a review.

Thanks for the direction!

Hi Phillip. I would say that generally speaking anything from Fine Woodworking is good from a technical aspect. They were my main source of woodworking info for many years and I was never disappointed. I have bought a few books from them and I still refer to them pretty often. I subscribe to their net site and I get a lot of useful info there too.

This book download is a great resource for old style hand made tools. Just reading it is worth the time.
