Ok i know this is probably a weird topic, but I was reading in an old issue of FWW and it suggested using silicone caulk to adhere glass to the wood for use in doors and such, and then to also silicone the glass stop if need be. So it got me thinking, what do I need to do for my display case? I wasnt planning on gluing the glass down and just use stops. but now I dont know. I am nervous about the stops anyway and wanted to know how you all attach stops for glasswork. It was recomended in the magazine to drill pilot holes using a brad and then tap in the brads. I was curious though how easy it would be to simply use a 23 guage pinner like the PC pn100…What are your alls thoughts….Im a rank amateur in installing glass so all recommendations are appreciated. -- If you can't build it, code it.
