They say it was so hot in Melbourne yesterday possums were drinking out of swimming pools while people were in them (usually very shy), drivers were using oven mittens to open their car doors, train lines buckled and the chooks were laying hard boiled eggs. LOL

Had to check this one to be sure the family filter was still functioning, or if this was a case for talcum powder.
Thanks for the southern hemisphere summer weather report!

The minimum overnight temperature in Adelaide was around 108F.
toilet seats buckled
candles melted in caravans after the heat caused a power breakdown and,
dogs stopped running after cats & did a slow walk. LOL

so do you folks DOWN UNDER ever dream of a White Christmas ?

Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

It was so hot here last summer that cows froze to death. They were in a pop corn field, it got so hot the popcorn popped on the ears, the cows thought that it had snowed and – they froze to death!! LOL

Joe, LOL. One person said it was so hot the the cold water tap was too hot to touch.
Scotsman Ryde is about 30km from us.
Dan, they have Christmas in August in some parts just to get the winter experience. Not to my liking.

Grumpy… I woke up here this morning to 8 inches of snow and ice. I had to get on my tractor and plow myself out of the driveway. My wifes 4 wheel drive even got stuck. It was 16 today.

So, I’m sending a little of it your way to cool things down….

(I bet it has a snowballs chance in the Land Down Under… lol)

Well, Grumpy, I’m sorry. I guess it’s the thought that counts, right?....

Grumpy, I heard it was so hot down there that the trees were bribing the dogs!
