I picked this frame up from a yard sale today that belonged to the mother of an older woman. She seemed to think it wasn’t worth anything. But I discreetly beg to differ. It seems like it stands to commemorate some community of camaraderie in the armed forces or was either some code written to be discovered by a family member years later’. “Its just wall decor”

Are any of you familiar or do we have anyone that might recognize what this could stand for?
NOT asking anyone to disclose their age….never. Just looking a history buff.

I’m going to guess that the picture frame is recycled, made from a shipping pallet or similar, maybe military.

Yeah, I wasn’t asking about the frame as much as I was about the message. The frame isn’t pallet wood by any means. It solid metal, feels like its made of nano lead. I was just wondering if someone might have been familiar with the message of that era -1929. Who knows…..

I didn’t use the word wood. Shipping pallets are not like wood pallets. The info is put onto a placard attached to the pallet, used to identify what’s inside. My experience is the pallets used in USAF cargo planes. I did say it was a guess.

I understand Hairy. Do you think it holds any monetary value or no? That’s interesting, I guess it could be military cargo related. I’ve seen painting of very similar stencil sytle on the sides of our .50 cal ammo cans and such but a touch different, no dates today. Who knows?

EMR- (enhanced military rifle)....hmm..sounds like you are on to something there.

Hi Chris – I’m curious about the picture – is it a print or an original? My grandpa painted that exact scene when he was a teen, so it has peaked my interest…

EMR: Electromagnetic Reconnaissance
RERP: Reliability Enhancement and Re-engining Program

Both of which seem weird if the 4-20-29 is a date…

Jason, its not an original. It is a print. This must have been a really inspirational piece for the times because on another site a fellow explained the magnitude of the painting and provided a website that had a write up covering all aspects of it, the inspiration and meaning behind it. Was interesting although at the time I did not have the time to read the entire writings.
