I am not sure what to do at this point. I have two of these and truth be told I don’t really need even one but I do like them for some reason. While I can envision setting up both for cross cut and dado I really can’t justify the space or time required when I probably should be saving for a jointer.

The negative first:
while this one is in decent shap, it needs new motor bearings and the crank for raising is stiff. One of fancy red balls is chipped near the threads and another has been replaced with a similar though black ball.

Positives:
It cuts for sure. Used it a couple of times before Fred Hargis put me straight about the endless blade spin after power off.
It has an original cabinet and even (supposedly) the origninal maple table.
Also comes with lots of extra (somewhat scary cutters, bits, parts)
It does have a nice flat table though I can’t verify it is a true “Mr Sawdust” table without wacking into to find the metal rods.

Like I said, I don’t really need to sell it but if I am honest with myself I am not likely to use this one over the newer one I picked up. If you are interested let me know, I can certainly take better pics.

I am located near Columbia MD.

If anyone is interested in that saw, bearings are easy to replace (especially on this model) and the stiff crank is almost certainly an adjustment or perhaps a little cleaning. The cost of bearings varies a little, but I paid less than $20 for the set I used in mine…the rest is just elbow grease. I have some pdf files I always offer to email to anyone on rebuilding and tuning the Dewalts. If anyone is interested I’ll need an email address.

Dang! I’d LOVE to have this versus my (newer) Craftsman … but MD is just WAY too far for me!
