Topic tags/keywords: laguna fusion 14-12 table saw band saw

I took delivery of my new Laguna band saw and table saw yesterday. I guess technically, my wife did, since the truck showed up 3 hours early. I spent about 5-6 hours setting everything up. Everything came very well packaged. The fit and finish is great on both pieces. The only issue I ran into was some spot rust on the fence guide bar on the band saw. I called Laguna and they are sending a replacement. I will work on writing up a review on both and post some pictures over the weekend. The difference between these and the tools they replaced is night and day. No more table vibration and much more accurate!

Well, one minor complaint with the 14-12 bandsaw so far. The dust collection chute seems to be just a tad too wide. I am able to wrestle a 4” hose on there but it takes a bit of effort. I thought it may be the hose since it was the hose that came with my HF DC. I order a male/female 4” pvc sleeve to see if that would help but the sleeve would not fit on the port, even with grinding/sanding out the inside to make the opening bigger. I resorted to using a splicing sleeve with a small section of pipe to permanently attach it to the dust chute. That allows me to connect the hose to the splicing sleeve, which is much easier. Not a big deal but a little irritating.

Have your say...
