It appears the big box clamp supplier shuffle continues to progress. I stopped by a DC area Home Depot and found that they are liquidating their Irwin Quick Grips at a little more than 50% off. It appears they will be clearing out the local store Irwin stock in favor of Dewalt-made versions.

I stopped by 2 local stores these past few days to pick up more Quick Grip XP600s (12” @ $14). I also got lucky and scored a few 12” BOGO special packs which also include free SL300. After this last haul, I think I have enough 12” clamps for a while.

I wonder if it’s a regional thing. I just happened to be checking out the clamp selection at my local HD today to see how they were pricing the Bessey clamps they’re now carrying (seems to be the same as Lowe’s if memory serves me). Didn’t see any deals on Irwin clamps, but I did notice they didn’t have any of the Irwin parallel clamps anymore. Also, the Dewalt clamp you link to doesn’t seem to be sold at any store in my region.

Also, doesn’t matter how many clamps you have, you always have a need for more, so stock up! :)

It definitely is a regional thing. From what I can tell, the DC area will be Dewalt and Jorgensen. Never saw any Irwin parallel clamps here. It looks like the NYC area has Bessey in stock.
