Hey everyone
I just bought a SC 1hp DC on Craigslist for less than half price of the new one. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the right size replacement bags for it? Do the ones for the 1.5 HP fit this model? I have already been told by a hundred people just to use whatever size and bunch it up..etc etc…but I just want to get the right ones for this machine. If anyone could point me to a retailer/seller that carries them, or knows if the ones for the 1.5 are the right size I would appreciate the info. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure you can get them at Highland Hdwre. I just ordered some for the 1.5 HP and I am pretty they fit both.

I have a crapsman 1hp, which is identical to the Steel City. It came with 30 micron bags, which I replaced with a better quality bag and performance suffered greatly. In fact it was so bad I had to back to the standard bag.

Thanks for the responses guys. I took Shanon’s advice and looked on Highland and there they were a three pack. Woodcraft sells generic 1HP or smaller dust bags. I think I will order them from Highland. MedicKen, this DC already has a 1 micron felt top bag that is washable.
