Good evening. Would anyone be able and willing to attempt an id for this piece of wood? I’ve called the company the pic came from but they weren’t able to give it an id at the time.

I’d appreciate the help.

A burl of some kind – like Richard says.

I found out through Penn State Ind that it is an Buckeye Burl dyed orange and black.
