Topic tags/keywords: game calls turkey duck deer supplies canada turning

Hi folks, I was wondering where everyone gets their game call supplies from? I want to start venturing into making custom friction pot calls and I was astonished at the prices some of the US stores are asking to night a couple of slates, glass resonating surfaces and what not.

I understand that most of these businesses simply push the price-tag that USPS is imposing on them back onto the customers, but for us up north, it’s simply too expensive. I was quoted between 18$ and 33$ to ship a bunch of slates, glass and striker dowels across.

Needless to say, I’m looking for a more local means of acquiring my supplies. I will fork the $$ if I have to, but I find it a bit excessive.

Any suggestions? Where do YOU get your game call turning supplies from?

Is this what you are looking for?

Bill and Lilian are great people. If this is not what you are looking for, write them. They may bring them in for you.

Hi, Not exactly what I had in mind for this order I wanted to place. But they do have SOMETHING, which is more than most shops lol! I found a place in Qu├ębec, which can special order me a bunch of stuff. I’m giving them a try: I placed an order with Jenny there. You have to email her directly and let her know what you need and she’ll do her very best to get what you need.
