I saw this ad: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/tld/4512601448.html and it looks quite a bit like some of the older skil stuff. At any rate $15 sounds like an ok deal for an older all metal planer that looks to have little use. Anyone ever heard of these before?

It’s not a very useful tool but at $15, and if you have a few doors that need to be shaved off a little, I guess it becomes a “Why not?” idea.

I’m not so much interested in having it as a tool I need to rely on, I have a Makita N1900B for that task. I’ve always been drawn to the all metal die cast power tools of yesteryear. Mostly the better known makes such as Skil, Milwaukee, Porter Cable, Rockwell, a few Craftsman and a few B&D.
