Should I be concerned buying an old Delta jointer like this due to current state of Delta and what would be a fair price for this

sold one similar to this one that I picked up. There was rust all over the bed that was starting to pit, get a new belt and do some lubrication . Bought it for 150.00 but sold it for 350.00. That looks like a great deal if it runs good . is it 120 or 220 ? Mine was 220v

I’d go in at $250-$275 but wouldn’t really be upset if I had to pay $300 for it. Seems priced right to me.

Seems fair to me, I wouldn’t worry about Delta’s current state, most formerly great machinery made in the USA has taken a dive in quality due to a number of different reasons.

I have this same jointer. It works very well, I can’t help you on the price I bought mine from a friend for $100 delivered. I also got a 18/36” Delta drum sander from him for $125. I think $250-$300 would be a good price.

That is a fair price if it really is in good condition. I have had the 8” version of this jointer for about six years. Mine is 15 years old and has worked perfectly for me.

I replaced a few small parts when I bought it, and they were very easy to find.
