I made a bench for the first time. I painted it today, but tomorrow I want to put another 2nd coat. My question for you guys is do i need to lightly send the first coat? . Or should I just wait for 8 hours or so , and just put the second coat right on the first coat. I used a satin finish. This is my first time building anything other then sub woofer boxes. Thanks for your time.

If you used a typical household paint (interior or exterior) there is no need to sand between coats.

BUT, read the application instructions on the can.

Thanks for the info. I used normal household external paint.
