the family is bringing down the homestead 2 story house. was built in 1870 i think. the family member that owns it is going to burn it down. i feel this is a great loss and was wondering if anyone had a business that removed and re-purposed the wonderful wood inside and out. i would like to put someone in contact with the owner (stepfather) about saving all the great wood in this home. maybe im just being silly but it seems a shame to burn it up. this is located in NE indana

thank you for any help in this quest

I’d look on craigslist, usually people have ads to take down old barns and what not, might do that as well.

When I search for lumber on the local craigslist they seam to always have items. I don’t know anything about how they work. Some just come and remove it for the lumber, some will pay a modest amount to do it.
