Tonight I am on my new gallery tab TWO it's replacing the , original and I have to say navigation is difficult at best. So I thought I would ask ain't it about time for a Lumberjocks app I mean come on really ain't it past time I suggest a Apple and Android app for the TWO most common platforms.
Feedback desired.

I am not up on these app things, just how woukd an app provide a better LJ's experiance than what Chrome gives me on my android tablet or safari on my iPhone?
App would provide menus that are easier to see and text boxes you don't have to zoom and Moore to follow a thread . Post projects including a camera function for easy uploads and your ideas too
I agree! App=pared down version of the site which has more phone/tablet friendly layout and interface. I usually use my iOS tablet to peruse and upload. Tablets are nice for the shop and carpenters on the go.
I agree that a better mobile experience would be great, doesn't necessarily need to be an app for me, mobile version of the site would be great.
I have seen a lot of apps that are really nothing more than a mobile site, if an app provides more functionality than a site can then by all means an app is great, if it is just a glorified website, I would rather just bookmark in the browser than install another app.
I believe this is in our suggestion thread and all are being looked at by our IT guys. The coding for this site doesn't work well with the apps we had looked at. I will ask about this again tomorrow.
If I didn't have to load my pics from my iPhone to my computer to upload and post… well, my fellow LJs would get sick of me and I would get less work done. I do a lot and photo document everything. Yet.. yes I would like an mobile app.
whilst on this type of subject, I would like to ask a question.
For most of us this site among other things acts like a diary for our projects, a history of our work, documented.
My question is, what is the chances of one day waking up and all our projects and associated blogs have been erased or lost????
I have been meaning to ask this question for quite a while.
Kind Regards
Anthm
I typically use my Samsung tablet for Lumberjocks.
Obviously the tablet uses android and the access is by by the internet as opposed to paying for 4G/5G!
And, I can take my tablet anywhere … don't need an app!
Izzy Swan's MakersPlayground has a pretty polished looking web app if the admins wanted to look at something for inspiration. Not sure if that was purpose built for him or if its something off the shelf that was customized.
