I remember my younger days when I would work out, shower then immediately go to a night club. I wanted everyone to marvel at my swollen chest and biceps as I sauntered through the door. If at all possible, I wanted every guy in the place to be intimidated and every girl to want my body.
Yeah – uh huh. I’ll go straight to a tangent and say that someone told me I was a “Real Piece of Work”. It took me years to figure out what he was meant. ;)
I remember wearing a Harley T-shirt because I thought I looked really cool and a little dangerous. Yeah that worked well until a really pretty girl asked me if I had a Harely… So – I lied ‘YEP’. Then she asked me what model. Uhhhh.
Those are just examples from my youth but I found that I kept on pulling lesser, but slightly more believable shenanigans throughout my life as I tried to impress people with a veneer of words or appearance. With that being said – I have just made this Mark-ism relevant to LumberJocks. Get it – Veneer?
Yeah I know. I’m a real Piece of Work.
Like before, I sincerely apologize. :)
