Our grandaughter came to visit today. She wanted to help grandpaw, so we had her stain some maple , birch and poplar samples. Love this kid.

She is pretty fast with the wiping rag. :-)

Now if you could only teach her to do the dishes too.

Staining wood in her Princess Sofia shirt… Now I’ve seen it all…

She’s cute as a button

She insisted on helping unload some 4/4 rough poplar. She is a petite 4 year old, but full of get up and go!

Great pics, Mike.

It’s great when they want to help. All too soon they are teenagers and gone all the time with their friends… Mine wants to help with anything I’ll let her do, and I’ll cherish that for as long as I can milk it!

Glad to see she wants to be there, maybe it will inspire her forward

What a cutie! A couple of pointers- I used to let my sons help me when they were little. I held the board a lot closer to them than the far end, in case they dropped it; I would be able to take the whole weight quickly. I see your grand daughter in sandals, which aren’t all that protective. Not to be a nit-picker, just saying. Now, my sons are in their 20s, and have pretty much caught up to me, strength-wise.
