Responding to an earlier thread about Lenox band saw blades on sale at ACE hardware, I checked their website and found that the also carried 105” long blades for 14” saws with 6” risers. I was able to order it from them and I picked it up at my local store. No upfront money and no special order charge. I also picked up a made in USA Dewalt 50 tooth, thin kerf, precision trim 10” blade. The blade cuts beautifully and runs very quiet. Cost was $43. I haven’t tried the band saw blade yet; just waiting for the next project before changing blades. ACE hardware stores are great. They carry stuff the big box stores don’t. They seem to carry stuff in response to local needs, unlike the big box stores that cater to a general public. Their range of fasteners is enormous. If you need a special size or type of fastener, ACE is the place. I particularly like to support my local merchants.
