Hey guys,

I am on the hunt for a good, old, big bandsaw. I’m a “buy your first tool last” kind of guy, so I have been trolling craigslist for about a month. This one came up today about an hour away. I am thinking about going to take a look at it. Looks like a beast that will outlive me. What do y’all think for $1100?

Thanks,

Dave

By the way, I will be using it for pretty much everything it can do other than ripping stock. I’ll probably be resawing 6”ish boards fairly often and maybe some 10” to 12” every once in a while. Obviously, cutting curves as well, but I think this puppy can handle that.

Oh that’ll do. You can tip a saw like that on its back into the
back of a truck. Take table, trunnion, blade and motor out
if you do that. It will make it near 200 lbs. lighter.

Cool, thanks. That’s probably what I’ll need to do

I think the price is a bit high. Maybe 7-800. I have the Delta version of that bs. Whatever you do, don’t tip it over with the motor in it.

Have your say...
