“Ludwig’s angina is a life-threatening condition, and carries a fatality rate of about 5%.”
That being said I have never heard of it and I am an RN with 45 years in the profession. I would commend the Physicians who were able to diagnose and treat it. After reading about it many patients require a tracheotomy and/or intubation. It seems as though you did not suffer those. That sort of occurrence is frightening to say the least multiplied by the difficulty of getting treatment due to the travel.
It is wonderful that you can continue making memories with your grandchildren.
