All, I’m try to build up a set of Stanley 750 socket chisels like the ones posted below.

They will say “Stanley No750 Made in USA” on the socket.

I have the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 1

I’d be interested in 1/8, 3/8, 5/8, 7/8, 1 1/4, and 1 1/2.

I’d like it with the handle, but that’s not a must.

Please let me know if you’ve got any of these one offs kicking around, and what your asking price is.

Thanks!

- Todd

For some reason I can’t add a pic right now. Will update later.

Didn’t JayT just have some listed? Maybe those were other types.

I did, but the two 750’s are sold. I still have a 5/8in 750 that I am keeping for now.

Hey now. Just to prove I’m not selfish, if you can find a vintage Swan 5/8 socket paring chisel, I’ll trade you straight across for the 750.

Heck, it doesn’t even need to have a handle, that’s how generous I am. :-)

Todd, guess what I just won on ebay? A vintage Swan 5/8 socket chisel. Seriously.

It’s actually a firmer, not a paring chisel, but the way I’ve been using the 750, it will be a great replacement. We’ll see what it looks like when it comes in, but I may be able to part with the 750. Still interested?

I may actually have a 5/8 Swan paring chisel Jay, I would have to check. I know I have a few Swans (3-5 maybe)...I was trying to piece together my 4th or 5th set of chisels. I have hoarding issues. I love their logo.

Todd, buddy you are chasing some of the less common and more expensive ones. I am not sure I have any “extras” in sizes you do not already have. I too seek the 1/8 and the 2”. Typically the most expensive of the bunch. I may actually call off the search soon. Maybe some day they will just appear for me in the wild.

It’s a fool’s errand, Shane. But I’ve never been accused of having a lack of foolishness.

I actually bought two 1/8” ones off ebay about a month ago (poor pictures), but when they showed up they were really 1/4” that someone had hacked the sides off of… classy.
