Milled 5-24-14. Beautiful color & grain. All slabs are 2” thick and over 8’ long. $4.00 bf.

I’m not sure about walnut prices in your area, but here in Florida we can be sure to pay $5 per bf for 4/4 black walnut and usually under six feet in length, as well as under eight inches in width. There are exceptions, but I would expect to pay $8 a BF for that here. (In other words, I wouldn’t be buying it)

That is one beautiful hunk of wood. I am particularly fond of straight grains and minimum blemishes (the center cut slab with the quarter sawn grain). I’m old skool like that.

Here for 8/4 it’s about $7.50 for kiln dried. I figure $4.00 bf is good since it needs drying, but most prefer air dried anyway so even better for them.
