I’m trying to make a pen for a birthday party this weekend and want to make it stand out. I will be away on business for a majority of the week so I won’t have time to do something segmented or composite. The birthday girl loves rustic stuff so I’d like to do a pen blank out of old barn board and then gold leaf her initials on it before super glue finishing. I have access to a small cnc paper cutter to make the stencil but i’ve never used gold leaf before and unsure how it will react to the super glue finish. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
