I’m planning on replacing the tilt and elevation handwheels on my Craftsman 113 series with some nice 5-inch ones from Grizzly. Only problem is, they sell the handwheel and the handle separately, and there’s no information on their website as to which of the two handles—the 3-1/4 inch or the 4-inch, each of which has a different shaft size and threading—fit this particular handwheel. I gave them a call, and they said they’d have to hunt one down and measure it. Unfortunately, Grizzly’s definition of “24 hours, maybe 48” is somewhere in the neighborhood of 72+ hours and counting. I’d like to get these ordered ASAP. Anyone else ordered this particular handwheel? If so, what size handle do I need? Grizzly’s model number for the handwheel is H5130, if that helps.

Buy from McMaster Carr. Part number 6033K71. $18.40 each, and shipping is usually $6. Comes with the handle and the set screw.

I’ve got 3 spare Grizzly handwheels at home, but you don’t want them. The holes are not drilled straight. These are the solid disk type. They finally sent me a spoked type handwheel which was good.

See the saga here.

@jmartel: Thanks for the heads up. I’d checked them when I started this, but somehow missed that exact part.

@Ocelot: Thank you. Having read through your trials and tribulations, I think I’ll pass on the Grizzly ones.

@MrRon: Thank you as well. I’ll check them out.

For anyone interested, the McMaster-Carr parts mentioned above are a perfect match. I ordered them on Monday, paid $6 shipping, and received them on Tuesday. It took roughly 3 minutes to install them, rather than screwing around with the drilling and taping and whatnot I’d have had to do with the Grizzly parts. Speaking of, they finally got back to me this morning. In case anyone’s further interested, that particular hand wheel has a handle hole thread size of, and I quote, “M8-1.25”. So there you have it.
