Topic tags/keywords: finishing spraying hvlp turbine spray gun lemmer

Hello out there!

I just bought a Lemmer T-75 three stage turbine with the stock spray gun ($260 on craigslist yeah!) and I was looking to get a touch up gun for doing smaller projects and looking around online I see that I don’t really know anything about spray technology or what sort of gun I need.

So questions:

Can I buy any touch up gun and attach it to the turbine or do I need one designed for that purpose?

I am seeing a lot of “HVLP” guns that appear to be designed to work with a regular air compressor, will these work with a turbine?

What might be an appropriate touch up gun for this system that will do good work and not break the bank?

Hope one of you spray knowledgeable folks out there can help me out.

Thanks!

Luke

Try TP TOOLS.com Canfield, oh. I spray everything with lacquer base Sherwin Williams Lacquers, (Gloss) Most available to me locally and priced well. Their guns work the best in my situation. I also have American-Turbine.com gun (1.7 needle) i’m pleased with. all work well with my Fugi HVLP system. Good Luck Happy Spraying

It must be an “HVLP” gun designed to work with a turbine.
HVLP guns that work with compressors are not “true” HVLP and will not work with the turbine.
The Devilbiss link is a gun that will work for you.

Fuji is in canada, as is lemmar, but their guns aren’t cheap.
I’ve only seen one turbine gun that isn’t too expensive, the RS-1. It also has different size nozzle/needle sets available. It doesn’t seem like a bad gun at all. Definitely worth looking into.
