I’m looking for a good quality bench grinder that can also act as a full fledged long arbor buffer. Does anyone know of one out there? I want something that can handle heavy grinding and good clearance buffing.

Those Baldor’s are spendy. Does the quality match the price?

Why Why Why when a manufacturer takes a standard bench grinder aND slaps on a few spindle extensions “which can be adapted and bought anywhere” “to any machine “do the manufacturers double and more their prices I dont get it it doesn’t do a thing or make the mortor better Oh well a fool and his money and all that.Alistair

They are used daily day in and dayout in the medical and dental prosthetics fields and never seem to wear out.
I see machines well over 40 yer old and still grinding.

I think I am going to knock all the parts except the arbors off of my old bench grinder, attach a couple of 4 to 6” buffer wheels and see if it has enough HP for the weight of the buffers. Mine is a very old 3/4 HP, however; I think it was cheap so not sure if it will do the trick.
