I am looking at some burls and possibly cutting then off a tree but I was unsure if the burl grain continues through the trunk in the attached location?

Any thoughts or experiences would he great.

Thanks

Some do, some don’t; but if cut from a standing tree the tree is then left with a non-repairable wound. Please don’t.
