I know that B&D bought Delta, but some of the Delta and Porter Cable tools are still decent (PC 690 router). Wondered if anyone had tried the new Delta 22-555 benchtop planer? 4 column design and stainless steel beds sound promising.

It seems nice; has a 5 year warranty.

I picked up a 22-580 a year ago for $150 that had barely been used. I’ve only used it a few times now but it’s been awesome so far.

I couldn’t get any info from someone who actually owned one so I kept looking and got a great deal on a DeWalt 734. Thanks for all your help!

You did good. :-)
The 734 is a great planer; I love mine.
