My dad made me a SOLID 12” disk sander out of steel and no wood (but its on my wooden table) it has a 12” steel disk out or 6mm steel and I 1/2hp motor on it

The photo was token before I mounted it to the table

Nicely done Jay (and Joe).it may look easy to build one that works but I know better,tried to build one but couldn’t find a 12” disk without a mounting hole in the center of it,which would leave a dimple in the middle,I even tried with a round piece of MDF but it was way too heavy for the 1/4 hp motor.
Anyhow,well done to both of you.

and the only thing we had to buy especially for this build is 2 grub screws and a tap to fit and some 12” disk sander pads and that cost me $0 my daddy brought it xD
