Topic tags/keywords: ferrule turning handle

I am looking to make some new tool handle for some chisels and turning tools and wondering if a brass ferrule is better than a copper ferrule or is it just personal preference and the look?

Copper wil easily discolour and give off color to wood and hands.

I normally use brass compression nuts. Then, I can turn ‘em to round off the facets.
Just recently used some copper on one tool. Works fine. Doesn’t look good with the other tools. Just a visual thing.
