question about some burls i found

so what im wondering is what kind they are and are they worth anything cause there is probly 30-40more of them but will take some work to get them. With land owners permission ofcourse. the landowner actually had these all pushed up in a big pile with a bunch of dead black poplar and are on a collision course with a bombfire later this summer. i have turned a couple bowls from a chunk of it just waiting on dryin now to see how nice they turn out but they look good but im a begginer to this stuff so any info would be great. thanks barry Jenkins alberta canada

Hi… Since you’re in Alberta.. I gonna throw out a guess of Box Elder.. hard to tell without leaves or wood pics. :)

A friend mentioned maybe soft maple but i truely dont have a clue i could get some closer pics maybe or of some other pieces if you think that might help but yah no branches or leaves left on anything in that pile.

little update still not 100% sure what it is but here is a bowl i made out of a piece of it
