I bought a plane, and it didn’t come with a blade. Looking for a 2 3/8” sweetheart blade. If anyone has one for sale that would be excellent!

You might consider a hock blade. I also like the sweetheart vintage. But I replaced a sweetheart blade with a hock and have not looked back. The pinnacle blades are supposed to be good too.

Thank you, i was leaning to that route. Wanted an original though too ya know? I actually would prefer a Lie Nielsen, as I’m not fond of the look of the hock blades. But we shall see!

I may have a 2-3/8” Stanley iron and cap iron. It won’t have the Sweetheart trademark though.

I have replaced several of the oem irons with Veritas PM-V11 irons. These are good irons. They come with the backs already flattened all the way to the slot. They also come nicely sharpened, but at 30 degrees with a secondary bevel on top of that. I usually re-grind to 25 degrees with a 30 degree secondary. They stay sharp for a long time.

Thanks Mark. I guess the more i think of it, i will just grab an aftermarket. The plane restore turned out so well it could probably benefit from it anyhow.

Well, that’s great. But, we still need some pictures. :-)
