I have a General International 8” Jointer. It currently has a 3 knife cutter head. I’m considering a Helical Spiral cutterhead. Is this a worthwhile conversion ? Is Byrd the best? Thanks

I don’t have a Byrd but just bought a new Grizzly with spiral after having a 3 blade Steel City and the difference in cut, dust and noise is superior.

I say if you have the extra money, and you are going to keep the jointer then go for it.
