I often dual post here and on my wordpress blog. Since adding pictures to LJ is unique to LJ, I’d add them here then copy and paste into wordpress. It just saved time.

Yesterday I got a message from someone wanting to use my plane restore blog but all the pictures were gone on wordpress. The odd thing was not all pictures were gone, just a large portion of them.

In trying to figure out what went wrong, I discovered it was all the pictures copied from LJ.

All of the paths have changed. For instance what was
https://s3.amazonaws.com/ljimg/n1gou7q.jpg
is now
https://s3.amazonaws.com/lumberjocks.com/n1gou7q.jpg

So all my wordpress blogs will need to be redone.

I’m not really complaining to LJ’s, just letting anyone else know if they do the same sequence of dual posting.

I guess I won’t be doing that any more. You may be seeing post with links to wordpress more often.

Hoppe it helps

I host my photos on Google+, so far no problems. I used to use Webshots, but since they sold out and totalled the service, I have been trying to find a quick and efficient photo host…

I don’t host many, if any of my photos on particular forums. I actually don’t like the fact that the Workshops and Projects sections of Lumberjocks insists you upload photos to them…. Extra work for me… And takes some of the control I enjoy with my photos away…

Bummer Don. I’ve created a few web pages, and it can be a nightmare when things change. I hope you get it fixed without too much of a headache.

I noticed on your blog too a while back. I had just chalked it up to you maybe using an old photobucket account or the like.
