Hi guys

I recently bought some figured makore veneer, trying to figure out the best way to finish it.

I tried zinser shellac and then deft spray gloss lacquer as a test, picture above

I was thinking about trying to dye it first, than sand down like for curly maple.

I was also thinking about trying blo and see how that looks.

It is raw veneer, and seems to be thick enough so I can sand it without worrying about sanding through.

Any suggestions?

Final product is a little speaker, like this one

LGK speakers

Just want to bring out the figure, hoping for a chatoyance effect.
