So I finished the rough construction of an arbor bench I am building. I sanded it and put a Cabot exterior stain on it. I left the boards out to dry and unfortunately it rained and got some of the pieces wet. Now there are white stained circles on the wood. Any ideas? And is there a fix?

There is a post here somewhere from Charles Neil that shows how to light lighterfluid on fire to remove white rings. I know it sounds crazy but it works. Here is a link to one of the threads but it isn’t the one where Charles discusses the method.
Do some searching and you’ll find it.
