Had my ICS 5hp for a few weeks now, and noticed the other day when I stopped the fence to make a rip cut, a small piece of the powder coat on the fence square tube had come off. The piece was about 1/8” wide and 3/16” long. I called to see if they had anything like touch-up paint or something. It two seconds for him to apologize for it not being perfect and a new tube is on it’s way. No questions like did you damage it installing it or something, nothing. Just sorry it was not perfect and the replacement 52” cut fence tube is on the way. So, my first experience with them was a big two thumbs up.

Good customer service can make or break a company,thumbs up to Saw Stop.

Sometimes Customer Service makes the tool worth owning alone. Think of Craftsman with respect to mechanical tools some 10 or 20 years ago. There were only two or three brands worth owning: Craftsman, Blue Point and Snap-on. I liked being able to take something back for a replacement when I “used it heavily”.

I must say we don’t have sawstop here in Europe, so I have never seen one close enough for inspection.However I really like the big steel not flimsy plastic handwheels on it like some modern saws have. Also it looks as though it is quite robust overall from a few pics I have seen. Alistair

Good customer service without a doubt, and at the price of a SawStop ICS, this level of service would seem more like an expectation than a perk. Wonder if PCS units get the same treatment.

Same support group, so I’d say yes.

I have the PCS and I haven’t had to have anything replaced but before I purchased it I called there support line a few times with questions and I was very happy with the answers and response. When I purchased the saw I got the free mobile base and it said on the form, I think, it could take up to 30 days for that to arrive. I called the support dept. and explained that I didn’t want to assemble it without the mobile base. They asked me to email the form to them and the mobile base was sitting on my front porch the next day. You can’t ask for better service than that.

Good to hear that SS has good customer service, reminds me of the old Sears and Craftsman!
There are some companies that care about customer service and must understand that the after sale support is just as important as the sales itself!
