So. Finally. I’ve started my chair build. In early Dec. I received my plans from Fine Woodworking for the Kevin Rodel Side Chair. I builtt a prototype using all the material I would use on the real build. My thought was…If I follow the drawing what could go wrong?... :) ....and I’d have a real chair built. I’m happy to say that build went not to bad. How ever… Then came Christmas, New years, a reno on my daughters condo..yada, yada. So here it is March and I’m finally moving forward. After all that time I thought I’d better do another prototype just to be sure. That one turned out not to bad either and in a lot less time. First and foremost I must thank those who have gone before me. Those who provided the inspiration, tips , helpful suggestions and knowledge that helped to make the first 2 builds possible and enjoyable. Grampa Doddie. Your blog was inspiration personified. I read and re read your chapters over and over. You spelled out the steps to such detail, and for the answers to my P/M’s I thank you. Pintodeluxe, AandCstyle, again thank you for your input and for answering my P/M’s. Your tips and suggestions were always on the money. I’m going to try my hand at starting a blog. This will be a first, so please bear with me. The thought was I’d like to be able to give something back to anyone who is considering a project like this. So here we go.

Mark, thanks for the update. Based on your two prototypes, I think you have the processes under control and your chairs will all be fantastic.
