Topic tags/keywords: humidor box design

I don’t smoke cigars and I’m probably not going to start. However, I really want to make some humidors for distant friends.
I see tons of amazing humidors posted here. I’ve been trying to figure out what internal dimensions are necessary to make the most universally useful humidor.
Is there a standard maximum length for cigars? I have seen cigars in several lengths and widths. Should I just design for a maximum length?
I’m not sure I’m asking the question correctly… I’ll wait and see what everyone says.

I just made some boxes for serving cigars. I do not call them humidors because there is no humidistat in it. I make mine 8” long and 2” deep to hold a few cigars not a whole box. You can see the ones I make here>>>>> :
