Topic tags/keywords: ebay jocks question

Over the last few months I have noticed that sometimes I can’t tell the difference from the project forum and Ebay. Why all of a sudden are we listing all the items we have for sale? Is this what Lumberjocks has become? Ebayjocks?

This is not an everyday occourance and it is not “all of a sudden” folks have offered items for sale off and on for years. Personally I don’t have a problem with folks selling items on LJs as long as it’s not by an individual selling items over and over again on a regular basis. Many times folks are moving or are getting out of woodworking and offer LJ members first crack at what there selling. There are folks who give tools away to Lj members also does that mean we have to be registered as a non-profit ?

You are probably right. I have been on this site and getting forum info everyday for years. I usually don’t comment because what I would say has already been said. However in the last 4 to 5 years it has only been the last few months that I have seen a couple hundred planes and “pen stock” and other misc. for sale. I am not upset, just have never seen so much. And no, you don’t have to apply for a non-profit…where did that come from?
