Ok, I’ve been a huge fan of Forrest blades forever. Always wanted a rip blade and finally bit the bullet and bought one. Was using this evening and testing it out. Right off the bat had an issue. I have a sawstop and you need to set the cartridge away from the blade the width of a nickle. When I swapped out the standard blade with the WWII 20T got an error code and when I checked the blade was 9 7/8”. Any body out there got one of these blades? If so, is your 10” blade not 10”? I’m thinking it’s a stinker and needs replacing.

I’ve never checked the diameter of my blades, but I’ve read that some 10” Freud blades are slightly less than 10”....could be true of several brands. The odds of Forrest unintentionally making a blade 9-7/8” diameter seems remote to me….lots of other little things can happen by mistake, but that may be the diameter the blades are specified to be. Call Forrest and ask.

The 250mm blades the euros sell are about 9 7/8”, just bought a couple for my new Hammer saw. These companies are most likely going to metric sized blades.

I think blade diameters are probably “nominal”; that is ± a few thousands. I don’t think it’s anything to be concerned about.
