If you don’t find something sooner, there will be a couple of wood dealers at Showcase.

I have a 2 1/2×2 1/2 x almost 12” block of figured sapele. Would that be big enough or do you need the full 3×3?

Damn that is gorgeous!!. Unfortunately my infill needs to be 2 5/8 wide at least.

Dang! Almost big enough!
I don’t know a whole lot about infills…could you add some decorative shims to widen it? Maybe something contrasting?

Let me go take a look at what I have outside. I might have some crotch walnut thick enough.

This one is yours if you want it.
I also have a piece of 12/4×4 x 13” + sapele, but it’s pretty plain and it has a couple splits and incursions in it. Might not be the best choice for what you want.

To clarify: the first piece I posted is yours if you want it. Or either one, or both. My cost: $0

I have plenty wide enough but not thick enough. I think 2 1/2 was the thickest I found. By the way, I got the number 8 and it’s friggin’ cherry!

Ill take the first one wolf! Much appreciated brother!

Richard, thickness isn’t critical, 2” thick is fine, its the width i need. I’m glad you like it! It’s a great user. Hows it feel to push that beast around?
