I recently picked up a Grizzly 1018 jointer. It needs bearings and belts. The belts are skinny v-belts. I was thinking of ordering a set of pulleys and belt from a G0490x. I figured going to a serpentine belt would be way better than the 2 skinny v-belts. I checked grizzly’s website and all the specs say is pulley. There is no info aside from pulley, so I called and the tech was no help.

I am looking for any specs you guy can help with. Mostly shaft sizes on the cutter head and motor, also belt length, and pulley diameter.

I tried to get this stuff from grizzly and they had no clue.

Thanks for the help.

I would stick with the factory belts. Are you sure a 490 belt would even fit?
