Your mileage may vary at your specific store, but this is the experience I had yesterday:

I’ve spent the last month working on a Roubo workbench, and the glue-up of the top and legs made clear my lack of high-quality woodworking clamps. So I’ve been lusting after a wall full of Bessey k-body clamps.

Yesterday I stopped in my local Lowes and they had their Bessey K-body REVO clamps on clearance. You can also get a 10% off any purchase at Lowes using a coupon from the USPS Moving Kit envelope (Free at any post office). My store’s prices were:

24”: $31.95
31”: Out of stock
40”: $42.95
50”: $39.95 (yes, cheaper than the 40”). They didn’t have any on the shelf, but I asked the employee and he found 6 back in storage.

I bought 2×24” and 2×50” clamps. The total was $142, and the 10% USPS coupon basically cancelled out the tax. On Amazon (which is surprisingly pricey for Bessey Clamps) the same 4 clamps would have been $220.

P.S. Double check that the clamps you purchase have all the clamping pads/accessories attached. One of the clamps on the shelf was missing the black plastic cover.

What I found with some F clamps I wanted that the nearest store had not marked down as much as another that just a few miles further (in a different direction). I was in the second store for an unrelated reason and looked at the 12” long, 4” throat models and they had marked them down $4 versus the $2 markdown at the closer store. It may pay to call around, browse, or even check on line if you have more than 1 store nearby.
